The USBA Mission is to empower underserved small businesses to overcome cultural, racial, educational, or economic barriers to success.
Many small businesses have significant difficulty in acquiring needed capital to start or to grow their businesses, due to cultural, racial, educational or economic barriers between these communities and small business lenders. Thus, the term, “underserved.”
USBA’s purpose is to bridge these gaps, enabling these small businesses to have all the resources they need to succeed.
These barriers can only be overcome by building or enhancing the following key elements of the USBA strategy:
Trust between the lenders and small business owners
Awareness of available resources
Education of small business owners
Access to Capital through grants and small business loans
The USBA will take the following steps to accomplish this strategy:
Semi-Annual Conferences will enhance Trust and Awareness by enabling greater interaction between small businesses, lenders and other related parties.
Regular Training by Resource Partners will enhance the business management Awareness and Education for small businesses.
Grant Funding by Resource Partners will also strengthen small business management Education and capital.
Loans by Resource Partners to increasingly qualified member small businesses will strengthen capital.
